I purchased my first
35mm Nikon camera in the early 90's. Before that I had always used a point and shoot consumer camera
to take family photos. I wanted to to take photos of other things (nature, cemeteries, urban, etc.). I began taking the camera with me when I went anywhere. I really did not get the relationship between F stops and shutter speed so my photos were pretty bad.
My first grandchild was born in 2000. I took lots of photos of him. I found some that were very good and I thought it might be nice if I understood how I had achieved that result, so I could repeat it. I begain to take courses in photography at Prarire State Community College. It was there I took Photoshop and fell in love with digital imaging. I
purchased my first digital camera, a Sony, and of course Photoshop. I left film and chemicals behind. I like to take photos in both color and black & white. I like the ability to manipulate photos that digital allows you to do. I like to consolidate different images into one photographic image.
